What is a capacitor?

A capacitor is a small silver cylinder-shaped component of an HVAC system that looks like a battery. It holds an electrical charge that is used to start and power the combustion inducer motor and the blower motor.

Where is it located?

It is found behind the service panel attached to the housing of the blower motor.
