What is the draft inducer motor?

The draft inducer motor is a component of a furnace that pulls gases such as carbon monoxide out of the heat exchanger and sends them outside. It runs iniitally before anything else to clear the furnace chamber for ignition.

Where is it located?

The draft inducer motor is mounted to the housing of the combustion chamber in the furnaces' upper compartment.
